Vipani's Founder
"Vipani is a result of my lifelong experience of being a farmer and working with farmers whose hard work and desire to prosper are hampered by a marketplace that does not work for them."
- Thomas George, PhD, Vipani Founder

The Vipani method was developed by Thomas George, PhD, a lifelong farmer and scientist in international agriculture. George recognizes the power of economic incentives on people but also acknowledges that people do not always behave rationally or in their long-term interest. Accepting this human nature as a given, George focuses on building and sustaining trust networks at the grassroots so that farmers can keep their contracts with others and there can be more frequent trades of goods and services between them and others.
